The Shanklin commands
a premier position overlooking Sandown Bay and the surrounding downlands. The
bars, lounges and Starlight Restaurant all enjoying panoramic views, making
for the ideal place to relax and perhaps plan your exploration of our wonderful
Island.
The hotel has 90
bedrooms, all with bath and shower en-suite. All have direct dial phones, television
and hospitality tray and most are serviced by the lift. We have a number of
upgraded rooms; these are available at a supplement. The Principal Seaview Rooms
have views directly across the English channel, while the Side Seaview Rooms
catch a ' view ' across the bay. The larger Crescent Rooms, while not affording
a sea view, have a kingsize bed and give you the space to relax in comfort.
Our restaurant looks
out over Sandown Bay. Here we provide a varied and quality menu where modern
and traditional influences are blended to suit all tastes. With a semi-buffet
style and full English Breakfast, you will be ready for your day's exploration
of our Island. Relax and sip cocktails in the lounge before a five course table
d'hôte meal, with a vibrant wine list from vineyards around the World.
